In YWAM, no salaries are paid, from the newcomers to the co-founders who have been involved for 65 years. This is based on one of YWAM's core values: "Practice Dependence on God." Although this may seem very unconventional (especially for me as a Swiss 😋), this principle has borne much fruit over the years. The idea is that we give our time to serve God and others, while people who feel called to do so support us financially. I am very reluctant to ask for money, so I want to be as transparent as possible about how I spend my money.​

It is also important to me to mention that I donate 10% back to the church/mission. With the rest, I try to be as responsible as possible so that I can also bless others with it. Monthly/weekly contributions are generally more helpful as they allow me to plan better.
